Street Department is Now Hiring!

The Town of Chesterton is now accepting applications for the position of Assistant Street Commissioner and Labor/Driver. 


Assistant Street Commissioner

 This position includes benefits such as paid holidays and a pension program. Applications and a job description can be obtained at the Street Department, located at 1490 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Applications can also be downloaded at the link below. Completed applications can either be dropped off at the Street Department or emailed to johnschnadenberg@chestertonin.org.

Depending on experience, the pay range for this position is $52,500 - $56,500.

The pay for this position is $17.50/hour and $18.49/hour once a CDL is obtained.
